From the angles of Mr. Roger Holmes, this program covers a big parade of diesel action in the American Heartland like the Missouri Kansas Texas with one SD40-2 having the same number as a Chesapeake & Ohio Greenbrier type 4-8-4: 614 that is, Santa Fe with one SW1200 having the same number as an SP 0-6-0 on the Yolo Shortline: 1233 that is, Missouri Pacific, Chicago & Northwestern, Illinois Central Gulf with Caltrain Commuter F40s, Milwaukee Road with one SD40-2 having the same number as a C&NW 4-6-0 under restoration in Michigan: 175 that is, Rock Island, Chicago & Illinois Midland, Burlington Northern, Conrail, Kansas City Southern, Norfolk & Western, Rio Grande, Keokuk Junction with an Alco S-2 on a nighttime cab ride, Toledo Pieoria & Western, Southern Pacific, Cotton Belt, Metra Commuter Rail, Amtrak, & Union Pacific with Turbine 18 before it was moved to the Illinois Railway Museum, & Never-Retired Northern 844 as 8444 on its way to New Orleans Louisiana for the 1984 World’s Fair while wearing special banners on both sides of the Elephant Ear Smoke Deflectors, not to mention British Built 4-6-2 number 60008 Dwight D. Eisenhower going to Abilene Kansas for the President’s 100th Birthday from Green Bay.

Some other producers were also there to chase 8444 to the World’s Fair in 1984: the late Greg Scholl, Guy Wickshall of Revelation Video, & Fred Crissey of C. Vision, while Video Rails chased 8444 on the return trip which was covered in “44 Years of 8444”.
