In the Chicago Sub version of the Indiana Railroad, there are a huge variety of diesels in the Midwest from SD40-2s like 4001 for instance, to the mighty SD90MACs like 9007 for example, as well as most of the since been removed semaphore signals, plus other road names like Union Pacific, Canadian Pacific, & HLCX.

Locations include Hiawatha Yard at Jasonville near Terre-Haute, crossing the Ohio River bridge into Louisville Kentucky, Street Running at New Albany on 15th Street, Bennettsville, Wilson, Borden, New Pekin, Harristown, Salem, Hitchcock, Smedley, Campellsburg, Leipsic (Not in Ohio), Orleans, Mitchell where it crosses the CSX Indiana Sub, Bedford Junction where it connects to the CSX Hoosier sub while doing some street running like New Albany, Williams, Burns City which was formerly Crane, Oden, Elnora where it connects to the Petersburg Sub, Beehunter where it connects to the Indiana Southern’s Spencer Sub, Linton Junction where it crosses the Indianapolis Sub, & INRD Junction.

While Les Jarrett does tons of filming on the IR, this program is narrated by the late Lane Venardos, & while the case says 90 minutes, the program itself ran for 83 minutes, plus there are 7 minutes of extra previews.

Regional railroading is a little more interesting than Class 1’s. We get to view action that is often very localized, and therefore is a different view from average. With Indiana Railroad, there is plenty of action, and some of it is the heavy horsepower EMD’s that were purchased not long ago. The area is fairly scenic, and maps are provided to help along the way. The quality of the movie is good, and being a Blu-ray, it helps. Overall, a decent video that I would recommend.
