br>Part one chronicles 45 minutes of the last of steam on the IC, and finishes up with first generation diesels as photographed in 16mm color by noted photographer Jerry Carson.
br>Part two covers the contemporary IC as marvelously captured by rail videographer Steve Neff with top of the line professional video equipment. This program was edited by Green Frog with our usual Fast Pace story lines, incredible sound, and crisp sharp picture. Don’t miss out on one of the country’s best known and loved railroads. Locations for part 1 from the films of Jerry Carson which ran for 62 minutes include Kankakee, Homewood Yard, East Cabin at East Dubuque, Markham which is near Kankakee, Bradley, Monee, State Route 45, Pietone, Otto Tower, Freeport, Olympia Fields, Winery Road at Monee, downtown Chicago, Wallace Yard, Fulton Kentucky (in Black & White), Carbondale, Milepost 95, Jackson Mississippi, Centralia (in B&W), Paducah KY, St. Louis Division, & Big Money River Bridge. Other Road names like New York Central for example is also included, as well as a mention of Amtrak’s Debut in 1971.
Locations for part 2 from the modern footage of Steve Neff which ran for 76 minutes include Centralia with a semaphore signal, Matoon, Effingham with a broken Gondola that lost a pair of wheels, Tuscola diamond, Edgewood, Arcola depot with a pacing sequence, Ashley, Ramden, Carbondale, US Highway 51, Copton, Annah, Alman, Mounds, Cairo (not Egypt), Benton diamond with a gate, Percy (Referenced to the number 6 green tank engine from Thomas), Rust Junction with a pair of wooden trestles over the road, Dongola at an S curve with the 45 MPH sign in the background, Mattoon, Ducoine, Little Wabash River Bridge that was built in 1902, Council Hill, Scales Mound, Warren siding, Dubuque with the river bridge & tunnel at the east side of town & Galena.
