Housatonic Railroad The Housatonic Flyer

Travel the southern half of the old Berkshire Division of the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad! In May, 2009, The Massachusetts Bay Railroad Enthusiasts ran a rare mileage excursion from Canaan to Danbury on the Housatonic Railroad. Using equipment from the Berkshire Scenic Railroad Museum we follow this historic trip through the scenic Berkshire Hills of Western Connecticut through such picturesque towns as Kent and Cornwall. We take a tour of the Danbury Railroad museum and catch a glimpse of the narrow gauge railroad run by the Connecticut Antique Machinery Association.
