We’ll see a lot of trains where CSX’s Metropolitan Sub to Washington and the Old Main Line to Baltimore diverge at Point of Rocks, Maryland. MARC commuter trains use the station, and Amtrak’s Capitol Limited passes through daily. CSX runs locals, manifests, coal trains, autoracks and intermodals.
We also take a look at Harpers Ferry, with its big bridge over the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers. The narration can be turned off and on. Dolby Audio.

While the title is Hot Spots Point of Rocks, which they do film at for 2 days, they do end up at Harpers Ferry as well. On a side note, It is a little odd that they skipped over Brunswick completely on they way to Harpers Ferry. The camera work and audio is good, there are some weak spots if we’re splitting hairs. This presentation came out in 2012 so its not terribly old but it isn’t recent either. The lack of narration in my opinion hurts this presentation overall.

Point of Rocks, Maryland, an interesting location for rail fans. This video is a fine presentation of that trains here with heavy freights, Amtrak & MARC commuter trains. And the scenic beauty is excellent with the tunnel and river crossing at Harper’s Ferry. A good addition to the video collection
