Norfolk Southern now owns this National Historic Landmark line and it remains a very busy and important rail corridor. T&W Productions took a trip to Horseshoe Curve in 2002 to see how the new owner was handling the traffic over this busy line. NS put on quite a show: You’ll see non-stop action including intermodal traffic, heavy freight and long coal trains – with helpers in both directions. Since this was 2002, there are still quite a few “Conrail Blue” locomotives on the curve.
