Travel with Green Frog on an action packed trip over CSX’s Abbeville Sub. This DVD picks up at Greenwood, South Carolina, briefly featured on our very popular CSX 10 video, and covers the line all the way to Atlanta. Spectacular coverage of the long bridge over the Hartwell Reservoir, train meets, action at Abbeville (crew change), fast runbys, as well as some archival footage from the early 80’s of scenes in and around Atlanta, including the now defunct New Georgia Railroad…

In part 11 of the Green Frog CSX collection, we continue with more diesel action, this time from Greenwood South Carolina which was shown in part 10, to back where the series started in part 1: Atlanta Georgia.

Aside from CSX, there are other road names like Norfolk Southern, Union Pacific, MPI, HLGX, General Motors, & a late 80s flashback to the short-lived New Georgia Railroad with Savannah & Atlanta 4-6-2 number 750 that is now on display at the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth GA along with another 4-6-2: Atlanta & West Point 290.

Locations include Greenwood with Maxwell Yard, Abbeville depot,
Calhoun Falls, Arbol Lake, Elberton, Comer with a water tower, Colbert depot which is now a town hall, Athens, Bogart, Winder with Gainesville Midland 2-10-0 Decapod number 208 sitting on display at the depot that’s owned by the Chamber of Commerce, Dacula, Auburn water tower, Lawrenceville depot, & ends at Atlanta, the starting point of part 1 of this series.

Motive power is shown from SD40-2s to C40-8s, as well as pacing C30-7 number 7076, & later AC4400CW number 372.
