Fostoria, Ohio is the point that CSX’s North-South (ex C&O) main line crosses the East-West (ex B&O) main line at grade, with Norfolk Southern crossing both on the ex Nickel Plate. The area formed by these 3 diamonds is known locally as the iron triangle. Up to 140 trains a day pound the diamonds. We spent two days there from dawn to dusk to bring you lots of action. You’ll see BNSF & UP power as well as lots of lease units. Of course you’ll see plenty of NS & CSX (in new paint and old).

As Highball says of its videos, “The next best thing to being there”! With well over a hundred trains passing through the Iron Triangle in a day there’s always something moving, and this program does a great job placing the viewer in the middle of the action. Highball’s usual quality camerawork catches a rainbow of locomotive color schemes and a variety of train consists. And like a good day trackside, there’s always the anticipation of what’s coming next. A nice look at one of America’s iconic train-watching locations.

Fostoria, one of the busiest railroad towns in the USA. One visit I made there in 2007, I counted 178 trains in a day (myself and my son rotated sleeping so we could get a count). Highball does an excellent job with this video in pre-rail fan park times. Lots of variety of motive power is seen and all in a short distance in town.

This is a must have, helps you plan a railfan trip to train city usa. A lt of good shots and older and newer power.
