EMD locomotives once dominated the rails up until GE’s GEVOs became the locomotive of choice for class ones and some regional railroads in the United States. Since then, many of the older EMDs have been either purchased by regionals and shortlines or retired and scrapped. In this series, C. Vision Productions travels across the US to capture many of these classic locomotives still working on the rails today.

In Volume two, we travel back to the Desert Southwest to see the Arizona & California Railroad. From there, we capture SD40-2s working a local on the KCS in Mississippi. Staying in the southern states, our camera captures great EMD action on the Florida East Coast Railway. Do you wonder where the Montana Rail Link’s SD35s went? We found them working on the Great Lakes Central Railroad in Michigan. Finally, we catch a Rapid City, Pierre & Eastern train negotiating the rolling High Plains of northwest Nebraska and southwest South Dakota.
