Take a trip to nine states and one Canadian province in search of historic early diesel locomotives! First generation and some newer diesels are shown in operation, getting the job done, between 1987 and 1989. You’ll see F-Units on freight and Passenger trains, Alco’s on freight, GE 70-ton, GP7s and GP9s and ALCO FPA4s on Passenger trains. To find many of these historic diesels operating in the late 1980s is remarkable, and in fact many that were videotaped are no longer running the rails. The video takes us to the east in New England, and west to Colorado and Arkansas including 9 states and Canada. Here is a listing of what is included. Wyoming & Colorado RR FP7s on Passenger train, Louisiana & North West RR F7 on freight, Little Rock and Western RR Alco C420 on freight, Monon FP7s on Passenger from Indianapolis to Cincinnati (ex-Milwaukee Road), Southern Railway FP7s on passenger train (since sold), Bangor & Aroostook RR GP7s and GP38s, Belfast & Moosehead Lake RR GE 70-ton, St. Lawrence and Atlantic RR GP9s, Twin States Alco RS3 (Lamoille Valley RR), VIA RAIL Canada Passenger trains with FPA4s, FP9, and LRC (Winter action), Canadian National F7s,GP9s,SW1200,etc, Canadian Pacific Alco’s and much more.
