The Twin Cities hotspot for railfanning is Dayton’s Bluff in St. Paul, Minnesota. This location is known for its diversity of trains, scenery, and fabulous skyline that makes this capitol city so unique. Both the Burlington Northern Santa Fe and Canadian Pacific railroads operate on Dayton’s Bluff tracks. Other railroads use the tracks here to run through or interchange. Some of the trains you’ll see using the tracks include the Union Pacific, I&M Rail Link, Twin Cities and Western, Minnesota Commercial and Amtrak.
