Visit one of the most outstanding railroads in the USA. The C&TS is one of the best preserved steam railroads anywhere, running through the West’s finest scenery. This DVD shows the entire line from Antonito, Colorado to Chama, New Mexico from the train and trackside. This is one of the most rugged railroad lines in the country, something that you won’t want to miss! Lots of smoke, steam, and pretty golden October trees. A DVD that the entire family will enjoy. Includes snow scenes and the Rotary Snowplow. As an added treat, we’ve included 25 minutes of bonus footage not found in the VHS version! The bonus footage contains no music and no narration…just the trains and their sounds. Shot and edited in the “America By Rail Style” with music composed by PBS composer Michael Lynch. Chapter Menu provides instant access to program segments.

This is not quite as good as Pentrex’s hour-long piece, but still some nice entertainment for a lazy afternoon if you are daydreaming about riding on this world-renowned tourist line behind a historic steam locomotive.

A great video for the fans who love mountain steam narrow gauge running. I do enjoy seeing the rotary snow plows in action, but for some reason I am not a real fan of the C&TS. I enjoyed the presentation, but I believe that you need to have the real interest in this before considering the purchase.

Another great Eric Greene railway productions narrated program although I do love those railway productions program that Eric Greene does narrate and I also wonder how many other railway productions programs does Eric Greene narrate .

The Cumbres & Toltec is a great video showing Narrow gauge steam as well as the history of the D&RGW before the section between Antonito and Chama was preserved.

This was an enjoyable DVD. Yes, there are more modern and up to date DVDs out there, but this is still a great DVD!

Great video for those who like narrow gauge steam action. The scenery is beautiful and compliments the railroad action.

The footages of Les Jarrett & Greg Scholl, the narration of the late Eric Greene, Mike Lynch’s music, this “America by rail” style tape is always a must for every visitor, child, and what to plan on when visiting Colorado and/or New Mexico. Despite the Video Was Made in 1999.

Neat video for the C&TS railfan with footage of 463 and 497 before they went out of service. Lots of stack talk from those two engines plus all the K36’s blasting upgrade to Cumbres.
