We cover Conrail’s busy Chicago line from Frontier Yard in Buffalo to DeWitt Yard in Syracuse, with action through Depew, Alde, Batavia, Byron, West Bergen, Churchville, Chili Junction, Rochester, Fairport, Palmyra, Lyons, Savannah, Weedsport and Syracuse. Run-through power from UP, SP and NS plus just about everything Conrail owns.
Volume 2, Albany to Syracuse
This is the Chicago Line from Selkirk to DeWitt, with action at Fuerra Bush, Unionville, Voorheesville, Guilderland, Fullers, Rotterdam, Hoffman, Cranesville, Amsterdam, Fonda, Yosts, Little Falls, Herkimer, Utica, Oriskany, Rome, Oneida, Conestoga, Chittenango, and Kirkville. Lots of run-through power, including UP, ST, NS, CN and CSX.
Volume 3, Buffalo to Berea
We begin outside Buffalo’s Union Terminal, with CR, CP and NS, then on to “CP DRAW” and railfan favorite Tifft Street. Then we work west through State Line, North East, Erie, Conneaut, Ashtabula to Cleveland and Berea. We again see lots of foreign power and Amtrak on the Erie Test Track plus the Flats Industrial in Cleveland on their first day of operation. Finally we spend considerable time watching daylight action at Berea.
