C&O 4-8-4 Greenbrier #614 makes a triumphant return! #614 is the last of a breed, the last of the Greenbriers. Shot as 614 made her way in 1996 from Hoboken to Port Jervis on former Erie rails (now New Jersey Transit rails). This is some heavy steam action at high speed. We’ll see lots of runby action, including runbys at an incredible 75 MPH. Highlights include the Moodna Viaduct and turntable and tunnel shots.
An oddity is the N&W whistle 614 sported on a few trips! Stereo sound! Color, Sound, No narration.

This DVD showcases some of the trips #614 pulled along ex-Erie rails in the late 1990’s.

Pretty decent coverage of high-steppin’ #614’s runs from Hoboken, New Jersey to Port Jervis, New York and return in 1996… LOTS of high-speed action and “whistle shows”… A special treat included in this program is a couple trips up and down the line with a Norfolk and Western “Hooter” whistle mounted on top of 614! She sounded almost exactly like N&W 2-6-6-4 Class “A” articulated #1218! Ross Rowland and his fine group of men and women never failed to please the public with their use of this beloved C&O Greenbrier on these excursions.

Awesome footage of the 614 at work on the New Jersey Transit system. Great footage of it screaming by in areas and just in general putting on a great show.
