CN&W in Northwest Wiscsonsin
This footage was shot just prior to the UP taking over the C&NW. Starting in Altoona, you’ll see the rail system covered north to Superior, West to Hudson, and East to Adams, 327 miles in all. This show features beautiful Wisconsin scenery, towns, depots and history. See over 20 different models of working locomotives from EMD, GE, and Alco, including 14 on the C&NW roster. The DVD information includes a 1995 CNW Roster and a map of the area covered.

CN&W in South Central Wisconsin
Head to Chicago and the old lines of the Chicago & North Western Railroad north into South Central Wisconsin. This footage was shot just prior to the UP taking over the C&NW. The C&NW Railway is seen from Chicago, Proviso Yard with trains going north to Janesville, Madison, Devil’s Lake, Baraboo, North Freedom, Rock Springs and Reedsburg. This video features unit auto trains, local and general freights, rock trains and plenty of MP15 switching action. You’ll also see the connecting railroads of the Soo Line and WSOR.

CNW’s Iron Ore Routes
See the Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad and their iron ore operations in the Upper Peninsula Michigan. This footage was shot just prior to the UP taking over the C&NW. Located on the famous Marquette Iron range at Palmer, Michigan, you’ll see fascinating mining activities at the Empire Mine and taconite plant.Lots of iron ore processing action, including loading the huge ore carrier Joseph L.
