Classic Midwest Rails, Part 3

The Classic Midwest Rails series showcases the exciting and diverse railroad action in the picturesque Midwest region from class one mainlines to branch lines, industrials and short line operations. With Classic Midwest Rails 3 we railfan early Norfolk Southern and CSX west through Ohio and into Indiana where we’ll see joint coal operations with the Yankeetown Coal Dock, Squaw Creek and Algers Winslow and Western railroads. From Indiana, we’ll proceed into Illinois to catch ICG, C&IM and more NS and CSX action. Finally, we progress to Missouri to chase Missouri Pacific, Burlington Northern and others, before begin heading back towards the northeast.
