Photographed in 1986, this program covers the eastbound journey aboard the electric cars in the Midwest between Chicago’s Randolph Street/Millennium Station & Street Running in Michigan City Indiana prior to the February 2022 reroute at locations like Huron Street, Roosevelt Road at 12th Street, 23rd Street, 27th Street, 47th Street, 53rd Street, 55th Street, 59th Street, 63rd Street, 67th Street, 91st Street, Kennedy Interlocking, Calumet River Bridge, Hegewisch, Almond Ave, Hammond Indiana, East Chicago, The Adam Benjamin Metro Center at Gary with Duluth Missabe & Iron Range 1330/Elgin Joliet & Eastern 2-8-2 number 765 (referenced to a Nickel Plate Berkshire) on display at Gateway Park, Miller which was rebuilt in 1998, Dune Acres, the once Brand-New Dune Park, Kemil Road, & Beverly Shores before arriving at the railroad’s Michigan City Shops.

Aside from the commentary along the way, there are meets with other electric cars from both the South Shore Line & Metra, as well as lots of freight cars with diesels like South Shore’s GP38-2s, & Metra’s F40s.

A bonus vintage film from either the 1940s or 1950s are included with the Electroliner on one scene that is preserved at the Illinois Railway Museum after a look at the Randolph Street Station in the modern era.
