Locations for this historic fallen flag that has since been owned by Union Pacific in April of 1995 includes the Hot Spot of Rochelle Illinois before the new park was built in 1998, West Chicago diamond, the Metra commuter rail station at Glen Ellyn, Omaha Nebraska, Superior Wisconsin, the Kate Shelly Bridge, somewhere in Indiana on the South Shore Line’s Interurban route, Calholin, Clyborne Junction, Highland Park with Pacific 656 using the turntable, & North Freedom.

Tons of motive power are featured from the 1836 built Pioneer at the 1948 World’s Fair, to today’s C40-8s & SD70Ms, as well as the since scrapped 4-6-2s including one of them on the 400, the 3000 series 4-8-4s, the 600 series 2-8-2s, 0-6-0s, the 1700 series 2-10-0s, 2-10-4s, Hudsons on the Streamlined Hiawatha, & what’s left of the R1 class 4-6-0s with 1385 on the Mainline with Circus Trains, & Passenger Extras, plus a variety of Diesels, & Electrics.

Aside from the narration from Bill Warwick, there are also interviews from Jim Neubauer, George Krambles, Norman Ross, Arthur Dubin who also plays the piano, & Phil Weibler.

Did you know that in 1960, the C&NW merged with the Minneapolis & St. Louis Railroad?
