In the early 1980’s, an ailing New York, Susquehanna and Western Railroad was acquired by the growing Delaware Otsego Corporation. New money and new ideas led to the repair of the line and a trackage rights agreement over Conrail’s Southern Tier – the former Erie route. With a contract with Sealand to carry the then new double stack container trains, the Susie Q started to thrive. The stack trains were a big hit with railfans. This DVD will take you back to those exciting days. From Maybrook to Binghamton, let’s “Chase those Stacks”.

Great quality, color and sound. F45’s and SD45’s on stack trains, buying this DVD was a no brainer!

From the giant cities near the coast on the Atlantic travelling inland for a tad under 200 miles, this railroad is very interesting to see. The Susquehanna is a nice size regional (shortline) that is used for containers among other commodites over some very scenic territory through Pennsylvania into southern New York State. With the addition of having to use trackage rights, there is a nice assortment of power seen. Very good video for all railfans to enjoy
