In addition to a variety of CP trains, the River Sub hosts Amtrak’s Empire Builder and BNSF coal trains, and the Iowa, Chicago and Eastern has trackage rights. Soo Line power still heads some trains on this former Milwaukee/Soo main line. You’ll see exciting action, with a wide variety of power and paint schemes on this important line!

A rainbow of locomotive paint schemes, fascinating operations and interesting consists … all set against the backdrop of one of the scenic wonders of the Midwest. Highball’s usual top-notch videography captures all the action, whether it’s trains running alongside the Mississippi River, climbing out of the river valley or sprinting across farm country. A nice look at a colorful piece of American railroading, and a great addition to any railfan video collection.

The beauty of the Mississippi River Valley comes alive in this video on the CPR. Lots of great train action with the excellent scenery in the back ground. And a nice variety of power with the CPR, SOO Line (red & whites), BNSF, ICE & lease power running along the river. oh, and don’t forget the Empire builder of Amtrak. No disappointments with this video.
