Canadian Pacific’s main line along the Mississippi River from Saint Paul to Chicago runs through some of the Midwest’s finest scenery. In addition to a variety of CP trains, the River Sub hosts Amtrak’s Empire Builder and BNSF coal trains, and the Iowa, Chicago and Eastern has trackage rights. Soo Line power still heads some trains on this former Milwaukee/Soo main line. You’ll see exciting action, with a wide variety of power and paint schemes on this important line!

The beauty of the Mississippi River Valley comes alive in this video on the CPR. Lots of great train action with the excellent scenery in the back ground. And a nice variety of power with the CPR, SOO Line (red & whites), BNSF, ICE & lease power running along the river. oh, and don’t forget the Empire builder of Amtrak.
