Canadian National in Northeastern Minnesota

Exciting Canadian National Railway freight train action on former DM&IR and DWP trackage – now all CN rail. Featuring the Canadian National Railway with exciting CN ore and freight train action across their railroad in the arrowhead region of Northeastern Minnesota. Starting at the Steelton Yard you’ll see trains working the rail lines north across the Mesabi Iron Range to Ranier, as both the CN’s Rainy and Missabe subdivisions are covered. The CN action includes road freights, locals, intermodals and unit trains of potash and iron ore products.

See a great variety of CN’s big EMD & GE diesel power including their rare cowl units. Plus several former DM&IR diesels are seen on the Missabe sub. Also BNSF all-rail taconite trains and a brief look at the Minnesota Dakota & Western at International Falls.
