B&O Steam Classics, plus early Diesels

This is the B&O in crisp 16mm film from its heyday to its last days. Come with us for a journey from 1936 to 1972. This is an action packed look, focusing on steam, on the Ohio River Sub (Parkersburg – Kenova line), in the St. Louis area, Louisville Kentucky, North Vernon Indiana, Chicago (on the B&OCT),and then in Ohio: Toledo, Deshler, Willard, Lorain line, Akron and Cincinnati.

We get some great pacing of three Pacifics in Southern Indiana. Steam power includes 4-6-0s, 4-6-2s, 4-6-4 Lord Baltimore, 4-8-2s, 2-8-0s, 2-8-2s, 2-10-2s, EM-1 2-8-8-4s, 0-8-0s a couple of Southern PS2 class 4-6-2s. We also pick up first and second generation diesels: E Units, F Units, Geeps, ALCo’s and the EMD AA – the B&O 50, a huge boxcab early diesel.
