This program takes a system wide look at the GB&W’s exciting freight and yard action from East Winona to Green Bay. The Green Bay & Western Railroad powers their trains with ALCo locomotives and you get to see a variety of ALCo power on the line, even climbing on board road switcher number 306 for a cab ride. Also ride on transfer caboose number 101. See the GB&W’s Norwood Yard, shops, engine house and turntable in action. This program was shot just prior to the Wisconsin Central takeover in 1993. It was shot in all four seasons from 1989 to 1991.
Green Bay and Western’s connecting railroads are covered with the Burlington Northern, Chicago & Northwestern, Wisconsin Central, Escanaba & Lake Superior and the Fox River Valley. Each Plets Express DVD comes with a map and additional information to make it easy and enjoyable to follow along with the program.

A great look at a fallen flag of Wisconsin, not shot by many Bradley Plets does a fine job. Great quality and production value. Good lighting and run bys at track speed will keep you entertained. Plus, its all Alco’s!

A superb look back at a railfan favorite! The program covers the entire Green Bay & Western system in all four seasons, with plenty of great Alco sound and smoke. Some of the video is now more than 30 years old, so you get to see several fallen flag railroads along the way. And if that’s not enough, there’s even a cab ride and a ride aboard a transfer caboose! The usual high quality Plets Express videography, with just the right amount of information about the railroad and the area it covers. A fantastic program!
