Description

El Pinal is a railroad timetable location in Stockton California where Union Pacific’s Sacramento Subdivision splits off from the Fresno Subdivision. Union Pacific’s famous steam locomotive 844 was scheduled for an early spring morning departure. TSG Multimedia was there to catch the action! You’ll see the big 4-8-4 as she heads out to Roseville. Bonus footage features UP 844 at Altamont Pass, on the shore of San Pablo Bay and commemorating the centennial of the completion of the Western Pacific mainline at the famous Keddie Wye.

While UP 844 is the highlight of this DVD, since TSG already had the cameras out at El Pinal, they decided to catch the rest of the day’s action – and there is a lot of action. See a steady parade of Union Pacific freights as they travel through this railroad hot spot. This DVD is the best of both historic and modern Union Pacific!

What Can I Say About This DVD? It is Awesome! The Freights, the MOW, & Most Important of All, 844 steals the Show!

  2. 5 out of 5 Good series. Good price.

You’d think this modern day look at California would not include steam, but it does! It is mostly about Union Pacific but we do get to see UP 844 travel through. I liek this series.
