The Fort Wayne Historical Society’s NKP Berkshire #765 was dressed in C&O paint as C&O Kanawha #2765 so she could lead the now-famous New River Gorge steam trains. See her in the gorge and on the way as she runs through Tennessee. Called a “Ghost” because the 2765 did not really exist except for these few outings!

See her in heavy fog, bright sunshine, and on colorful fall days. Steep grades, colorful scenery, night scenes and a hard working steamer makes for a great “Ghost Story”

This is one of Main Line Motion Pictures’ BEST chases of our great Nickel Plate 765. I bought this DVD from TrainVideoDepot.com at a deep discount last year. I originally didn’t think it would be that decent a program… Boy, was I wrong. It is DEFINITELY worth what the fine folks here at Railfan Depot are asking for it (pricewise). 🙂

MLMP cameras always manage to grab some unique shots that the other producers did not seem to think of at the time. If you want to see the most complete coverage of our most beloved Berk’s final year of her second career… then this production will be a fine addition to your collection of all the other perspectives, including Pentrex, Greg Scholl, and Skyfire’s SUPERB documentary, as a previous reviewer mentioned.

This DVD covers some of 2765’s trips through the New River Gorge, along with some of the engines trips in Tennessee.

Not long after the 1993 NRHS Convention in Chicago, 765 would operate her final months of her first excursion service while being transformed into a C&O Kanawa.

Besides the MLMP crew, Pentrex, Greg Scholl, Skyfire Video, & even a handful of others were also there for the 1944 built berkshire’s final months of her first excursion service.
