This deal is packed with lots of Moments from the company’s first 10-11 years:

On today’s steam across america which was originally released on VHS in 1995 and converted on DVD in 2004, this popular 2 part set chronicles the mainline and tourist line steamers in the mid to late 80’s and early 90’s during the company’s 11 year service of steam recording action. Steamers included on Disc 1 are UP challenger 3985 and Unretired northern 844/4, Frisco 1522, Norfolk & Western 611, Nickel Plate 765, SP 2472 & 4449, and Cotton Belt 819. Plus some special Segments on Railfair ’91, Colorado’s Durango & Silverton as well as 611 Through the Rathole in 1989. On Disc 2, There’s Santa Fe 3751 which included the 1986 removal at San Bernardino, to the 1991 test runs. Plus January 1985 coverage of C&O 614, Vintage 1957 films of SP Cab Forward 4274 on Donner pass, Colorado & New Mexico’s Cumbres & Toltec, N&W 1218 on 3 NRHS Convention trips, and Cajon pass in 1989 with 4449 & 844/4 & 3751 in 1991. Plus UP 3985 in disguise as 3967 in 1993 and months before that happened the November 1992 Santa train as Clinchfield 676. Plus Cass Scenic railroad shays, NKP 587, Southern 4501, Milwaukee Road 261, NKP 765 as C&O 2765 in October of 1993, 3751 on the Tehachapi Loop in 1991, Atlanta & west Point 290, and Pere Marquette 1225. And the program concludes with vintage films of the mighty Union Pacific Big Boys.

And In Great American Train rides: this 4 part set contains lots of great railway visits even to this day, including great destinations like the Yreka Western on the California/Oregon Border, The Blue Mountain & Reading in Hamburg since all of the equipment is still at the Reading & Northern RR in the Jim Thorpe Area, & the East Broad Top is still Bankrupt and gone forever since the end of the 2012 season. Some Gripes that I’ve been noticing, is that One segment from the Sierra Railway Features almost naked girls taking a shower at the water tower uncut! Come on! You’re supposed to be a Family Friendly Company! The other things are that Part 2 features mostly California Attractions & the Cumbres & Toltec, While 3 & 4 however are mixed with out of order chapters Scattering through New England, Pennsylvania, Maryland & some other states.
