Volume 2 covers operations from Galeton to Ansonia between July 1978 and February 1979, including the demonstration and sale of the GE center cab #1700 locomotive to the New York and Lake Erie Railroad, its movement to Ansonia which was subsequently returned to Galeton when Conrail refused movement.

Volume 7 puts us in the year 1996 where we begin our look at Reading, Blue Mountain & Northern operations with the Mountain Job, then we find Mike Bednar on the Minersville job. Big Mike and Billy Yanoshik give us narration, details and commentary.

It’s the last years of Central Railroad of New Jersey freight and commuter operations from Bayonne, NJ to Wilkes-Barre, PA, including the CNJ race trains, cabs rides on AW-1 and the wreck at Weissport, PA. Narration and commentary by Mike Bednar.

The Erie Railroad trackage that ran through New York’s “Southern Tier” counties and then to Buffalo is what Conrail called its Southern Tier Line. The full route runs between Suffern and Buffalo. In Part 1, JPM looks at the line between Deposit and Gang Mills, New York.
