Two Complete Shows, in one Case. Railroad Video Productions “North Shore & South Shore”, Part 1 (RVP Item #196) and Part 2 (RVP Item #229). Over 90 minutes of rare color film from the 1950s and 1960s!
This show is a compilation of footage previously seen in other Main Line Motion Picture programs, plus new footage that cuts straight to the heart of the action, these mighty machines pulling hard; hitting the steepest grades of the East and West. Every clip is a steam locomotive pulling hard, or with wheel slip, or with great stack talk – as she works hard on a steep grade!
The True-Life Adventures of Real Tank Engines. This is about a lot more than just tank engines. It’s a picture window into an interesting part of steam railroading.
During the one time #3751 was in Williams, Arizona, the Grand Canyon Railway had 2 of its own steam engines all fired up and ready to join in the spectacle. This included former CB&Q #4960 in what has now become (sadly) an extremely rare public appearance.
Enjoy a visit to the beautiful Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania and one of the best living steam museums in the country, the Strasburg Rail Road.
