On former Southern Pacific’s Sunset Route, the Gila Subdivision covers over 255 miles of track between Yuma and Tucson, Arizona. Around 35 trains traverse this transcontinental main line every day. See it through 7idea’s “scenic” lens.
BNSF still runs several trains with older EMDs on their Staples Sub in Minnesota. A huge variety of 4 and 6 axle EMDs can be seen on both local and road freights. BN colors still adorn few locomotives while many are dressed in BNSF black and orange. Most of these locomotives are on borrowed time, so capturing these now was a must.
