The Grand Junction Railroad was chartered in 1847 to connect lines north and west of Boston with the waterfront. Although having passed through many name changes, most of the line still operates today with a daily freight between the former Beacon Park Yard to the New England Produce Center, also known as the Chelsea Produce Market, one of the largest in the world. Gary Gurske often worked the Grand Junction Branch during the Conrail era. In 2006, Gary rode with the now CSX crew between Beacon Park and the Produce Center.

This video was 100% historic since the now gone beacon park yard is included that since January 2013, the west Boston yard moved to Worchester, and pacing freights on the mass turnpike is sadly a thing of the past. Nowadays, the main doublestacks are at Worchester, while all units and other freight cars go as far as Framingham. Also the local Freight from Framingham to Chelsea called the B721 operates from Sunday to Thursday only.
