Some of the Midwest’s hottest “Hot Spots” and some of its hidden gems! If you’ve ever been lucky enough to take a longer railfanning trip, this will bring back some pleasant memories; if you haven’t, this could be your incentive to take the plunge. The videography is well done, the narration and graphics are informative, and the variety … the railroads, locomotive types, paint schemes, consists and locations … keep the whole thing fresh. And at three-and-a-half hours, there’s a lot to enjoy! This is a nice reminder of why we’re railfans in the first place, and a great addition to any train video library.

A must have for the Midwestern railfan. A lot of great action. The focus on each railroad is perfect.

Here’s a good one in the central USA. Lots of train action with a great variety of companies represented. Many fallen flags to be seen. Rail fans doing what rail fans love…. watching trains. Between screen captions, narration keeps us well informed as to the action we see. One of the top videos of the region made.

The narration is a little annoying and not narrated the best, but there is some great train action in the cornbelt states, this is a great reference guide to picking out some hot spots for future rail fanning trip. See all the ,major railroads of the cornbelt as well as some shortline operations.
