This is quite an adventure if you like the view of our great American landscapes from the cab of a diesel locomotive! The Feather River Canyon is a gorgeous area of California… and this excursion was just ONE of the numerous notable parts of Sacramento Railfair 1999. This will be a worthwhile addition to your collection. 🙂

While the California State Railroad Museum is operating Railfair ’99, as well as the headquarters for that year’s NRHS & R&LHS conventions, this 2 part set can give the viewer a good variety of what it’s like to be on the day long rails from the city to the deep canyon, until big rocks destroyed the fuel tanks for the C40-8 on the return trip.
