“Roanoke” is an entertaining look at train traffic in one of America’s iconic railroad cities. A nice sampling of the extensive Norfolk Southern locomotive roster and just about every kind of train you’ll find on the NS system, all weaving into and out of the Roanoke yard. The camera work is solid, and an elevated viewing location adds visual interest. The pace is relaxed, and like any good railfan outing there’s always the anticipation of what’s coming next. And for more than two and a half hours, there’s always something coming!
