T&W Productions spent three days at Bluefield, West Virginia capturing all the action at Norfolk Southern’s Bluefield Yard. Bluefield Yard caps off the western end of the busy New River Subdivision. The yard was a busy place when it was an N&W yard, and it is even busier hosting NS trains. You’ll see a lot trains in and out of this yard. Watch heavy coal trains, intermodal trains and time freights tackle the grade to the summit and into Bluefield Yard. See a wide variety of trains, motive power and helpers too… with day and night action!

Bluefield Yard is a busy and exciting place, and this program puts you right in the middle of the action! A nice sampling of the Norfolk Southern locomotive roster, a variety of consists (including some impressively long, heavy coal trains), and a back-drop with character. The videography is well done, and is shot from track-level and elevated settings, with some interesting scenes of the yard at night. One of my favorites from T&W.
