This is rare film now professionally transferred to DVD. We’ll see second generation diesels with SD and GP units, some ALCOs and even DD40s. These are the 16mm color films of noted railfan photographer Carl Franz with added sound.
The tripod-shot film is excellent, as is the location: the Tehachapi Mountains and Cajon Pass in the 1970s. 16mm color film to DVD. No narration.

WOW!!! JUST WOW!!! I LOVE all of this vintage footage of the ATSF and SP in California!!! The picture is so crisp and sound is GREAT!!! This is the best collection of vintage ATSF and SP action of the 1970s that I have ever seen! I highly recommend this video and intend to check out the other offerings by Main Line Motion Pictures as a result!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
