Featuring the Wisconsin Central’s Minneapolis Subdivision from the Twin Cities to Owen, Wisconsin. The New Brighton, Minnesota yard is a busy interchange point on the WC and the rail action here includes switching and interchange traffic with the Minnesota Commercial and Union Pacific railroads. Then see exciting WC action with freight and intermodal trains traveling over the Minneapolis Sub, which includes several scenes over the spectacular St. Croix River High Bridge. As an added bonus we’ll see some steam excursions that ran in the mid to late 1990s with Soo 1003, Soo 2719 and Milwaukee Road 261.
The show finishes with Wisconsin Central’s former Green Bay & Western lines that the WC acquired in 1993. This section features both WC trains and also some now and then flashbacks to GB&W alcove powered trains. You have the option of turning the narration on or off. Each Plets Express DVD comes with a map and additional information to make it easy and enjoyable to follow along with the program.

I wish this wasn’t the last Plets WC video. For those of us who miss the WC days and want to recreate them in scale, plets is a must have for your collection. I would have love to see what he would have done had the railroad lived into the hi-def era.
