A great look at the beauty of winter, and the challenges cold and snow pose to the railroads. Even the train sounds take on a different timbre in such extreme weather. The photography is creative and very well done, despite the difficult conditions. Some of the footage is now more than 30 years old, which means plenty of fallen flags, and paint schemes that vanished from the railroad scene long ago. I’m a fan of winter railroading programs, and this is one of the best. And it goes great with a cup of hot chocolate!
