See these fascinating granger lines that haul long trains of covered hoppers as they work and switch at numerous grain elevators. Located in the rich agricultural region of Eastern and Central North Dakota, their rail systems travel across the scenic prairies and then onto the rolling hills and buttes of North Dakota’s Great Plains. Video for this DVD was shot in 1996 and then from 2008 to 2011.
The exciting train action includes yard switching, locals and road freights. Diesel models include: SW1200, CF7, GP10, GP15CAT, GP20CAT, GP20, GP35, GP40-2LW, SD45 and SD50F. The connecting lines are briefly seen including BNSF and CP. Plus, there’s also a short segment on the Pioneer Steam Tractor Festival at New Rockford, North Dakota.
