Exciting ALCo powered train action along the scenic railway of the Arkansas & Missouri railroad. This Ex-Frisco route travels 149 miles from a connection with the BNSF at Monett, Missouri to Fort Smith, Arkansas. This fascinating rail line also features a 1,702 foot tunnel that’s tucked away in the Ozark Mountains at Winslow. There’s plenty of that great ALCO sound and smoke as the A&M’s 24 unit diesel roster features: T6, RS32, C424 & C420’s. See them on this DVD, as the A&M is no longer an ALCO-only railroad.
The system-wide Arkansas & Missouri train action includes: yard switching at Springdale and Fort Smith, locals working industries in the Springdale/Rogers Area, Fort Smith transfers to the UP at Van Buren, a tourist train and amazing road freights with up to 6 diesel lashups. Plus you’ll also see the connecting railroads of the UP, BNSF & FSRR. Each Plets Express DVD comes with a map and additional information to make it easy and enjoyable to follow along with the program.

There’s nothing like the sound and smoke of ALCO locomotives. Add the picturesque Ozarks as a backdrop, and this is another winner from Plets Express. The video covers the entire Arkansas & Missouri system with a nice variety of road freights, locals and switching action. Video locations are well chosen, the photography is creative, the trains sound great, and there’s just the right amount of information about the history and geography of the area. This is a great addition to any railfan’s collection.

Alcos are always interesting. Their sound alone is unique. Shortline action is also interesting. This video has the added bonus of seeing some class 1’s also working along with a tour train. Well done

A very interesting Railroad. Beautifully painted locomotives. I big fan of Plets Express as his videos are put together nicely. Plets Expres really did their research on these productions. I recommend any Plets Videos if you like informative Narration and good picture quality.
