A variety of restored operating steam locomotives! ** 2 Discs** Volume 1 begins our search for steam with a look at Southern Pacific 4-6-2 #2472 on a Niles Canyon Railway photo charter. Then we see Union Pacific’s big 4-8-4 #844 in Arizona hauling the Arizona Centennial special. Finally we visit the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railway’s 2011 RailFest, with a K-28 and K-36’s.
Volume 2 starts us off with a winter day in the Nevada High Sierra following Virginia & Truckee 2-8-0 #29 on a photo charter. We next visit a Nevada Northern’s photographers weekend, with 4-6-0 #40 and 2-8-0 #93 on passenger trains, freight trains and a work train. We’re treated to engine house and yard scenes, and then it’s out on the road with some great stack talk.

Narration was spotty, but overall the program was great! Lots of great action from lots of different lines. Especially liked the Nevada Northern scenes.
