Volume 3 of the series heads east for a variety of early diesels still running in 1986 to 2002. First we see brief shot of U28B’s on the Trans-Kentucky Transportation Railway (TTI) in Paris, Kentucky. Next we see an Alco S2 on the Big South Fork Railway in Kentucky, followed by a scene of a Norfolk Southern train in the 1980s with 3 GP30’s. More quickie shots include Alco’s RSD1 on the Tennessee Valley Railway Museum (downtown Chattanooga actually), and an old B&O GP40 and C&O power at Prince, West Virginia. We also see Marc Transit FP9, E9, and GP40 at Point of Rocks, Maryland, and Alco’s on the Western Maryland Scenic. On the Potomac Eagle we see a B&O GP9, Alco FPA4 6793(ex VIA), and CSX FP7 118 on this scenic West Virginia railroad. There are additional scenes in New Brunswick, and Illinois with quick shots of different older power. New to the DVD is some footage that includes 2 sets of F- units on the Ohio Central Railroad in excursion service.

Most of this program was on Greg’s 1992-2001 Sony Betacam SP mode, while other short segments were on his 1986-1991 JVC KY-1900U 3 tube camera. Keep in mind that most of these segments were filmed during other GSVP Titles, while some however was never relased on any separate program at all.
