We see the NKP from 1950 to 1964, beginning in its hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. The action then moves to southeastern Ohio on the former Wheeling and Lake Erie in the Coshocton and Adena areas, before ending up at Conneaut, Ohio, with a cab ride side trip to Buffalo. Steam locomotives seen include Mikes, and both NKP and W&LE Berkshires.
Diesels include most hood units the NKP had, and also shows the very early N&W years at Conneaut and Coshocton, with former P&WV FMs powering a train out of Coshocton. The action is mostly freight, but late NKP passenger trains are also seen around Cleveland and Conneaut.

Gives a good History of the Nickel Plate Road with lot’s of Vintage Steam and Diesel footage of Freight and Passenger trains in the 1950s. The 2-8-4 “Berkshire” were Beasts, highly recommended.

If you love vintage N&W power this is a video to buy. I think Clear Block Productions was one of the best producers on the market. It is a shame that he didn’t get to produce more videos.
