This program features the beautiful steam locomotives rostered by the GTW in the 1950s. Indiana and Michigan locations include Valparaiso, Wellsboro, Durand, Gaines, Fenton, Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, Oxford. You’ll see mainline and branchline (Pontiac, Oxford and Northern!) passenger and freight trains (Incredible rolling stock shots!) pulled by 0-8-0, 0-8-2, 2-8-0, 4-6-2, 4-8-2, and U-3b and Streamlined U-4b 4-8-4’s.
You will also see glimpses of the NKP at Valpo, the AA at Durand, and take a short trip to Canada via the St Clair River Tunnel to visit parent Canadian National at Sarnia, Komoka, and Paris Junction. Veteran photographers John J. Szwajkart and William P. Price, with additional scenes by Emery J. Gulash, team up to bring you Railroading Canadian Style in the United States over 60 years ago.

Lots of vintage GTW power. I really like the blue era scheme but the maple leaf is growing on me now. I think Clear Block Productions was one of the best producers on the market. It is a shame that he didn’t get to produce more videos.
