I always like the Pentrex “Best Of” videos. They give you the best parts of the DVDs available from that year so you can decide if you want to purchase the full DVD. This one provides two hours of great video from 1985!

Most likely the worst in the Best of series. Entirely too much ATSF. The BC rail clip was extremely short. Camera work is shotty.

I am a railroad video collector. When I am looking for something new that I don’t have, I have found the “Best of Series” to be an excellent way to decide thanks to the short clips seen here. The variety is excellent with over a dozen clips in this video. There are demonstrators, and circus trains, as well as SF’s, BN’s, BCR’s etc…. A great video.

This Video shows mainly 95% Diesels on the Santa Fe, Southern Pacific, Union Pacific, & Amtrak. The McCloud Ride is the only steam segment in this video. Not to mention a 30 second segment of the BC Rail.

I enjoy the “Best Of” series that Pentrex put out during the 80’s. This video shows the Demonstrator units in action which was nice, also the scenes from Cajon and Techachapi were great! In my honest opinion, I wish Pentrex would continue to do the Best Of Series.

I like trains, but sometimes variety is not good. Too many subjects and not enough time is spent on each subject. The narration is helpful.
