North Carolina Rails CSX

In our second visit to North Carolina, we visit the former Atlantic Coast Line route from Petersburg to Fayetteville. This is a very busy line, with many CSX freights and five Amtrak trains. Action starts on a rainy day in Enfield, NC. Then, we move south to Rocky Mount, and spend some time at the yard, including in the tower. There are a lot of runbys at the station and the north end of the yard. There are even some night scenes. On south to the picturesque small town of Elm City, where CSX keeps the residents on their toes! We even get a brief glimpse at the Nash County Railroad. We conclude at the junction city of Selma, the interchange with NS. It is where Amtrak’s Carolinian crosses from CSX to NS for its run west.
