When CSX and Norfolk Southern bought Conrail and split up Big Blue, NS was left in charge of much of the historical Pennsylvania Railroad lines. Lewistown Pennsylvania is on the main line from Harrisburg to Altoona and Pittsburgh. The depot has been restored by the Pennsylvania Railroad Historical Society and still functions as a depot, hosting Amtrak trains and passengers. Since this is the old Pennsy Horseshoe Curve main line over the Alleghenies, this line hosts a lot of traffic, both Amtrak and plenty of Norfolk Southern freight trains. See the action over three days, through night scenes and even some rain. Brief introductory narration is supplemented by graphics.

This program contains lots of diesels on Norfolk Southern, & even other Road Names like Union Pacific, Conrail, CSX, & even Amtrak’s Pennsylvanian, with trips from October 2005 with a dog watching a westbound doublestack in the heavy downpour rainfall, & later at night with flatbeds of John Deere Tractors & Caterpillar Construction machines while meeting a coal train, & October of 2008 with more night scenes as well as a few from the morning fog the next day, with bonus scenes on an unknown year while the weather was sunny before there are sunset scenes right into the night & into the morning with a dog concluding the action on the Horseshoe Curve line west to Altoona, & east to Harrisburg.
Motive power is shown from SD40-2s to since been sold C40-8s & since rebuilt C40-9s, as well as assorted Wide Cab locomotives & even Amtrak’s Genesis units.
Narration from Mark Osmun is used in the opening titles only, as this program is more of a Big E. Productions type show where the camera keeps rolling to allow the viewers to count how many cars are on each train both Freight & Passenger.
