The sugar mill railroads ran on standard gauge as well as 36″, 34 1/2″ and 30″ gauge tracks with 2-6-0 and 2-8-0 steam locomotives built by Baldwin, Alco and Vulcan. The Hershey Cuban Railway was a 56 mile line running American-built interurbans by Brill, hauling passenger – and cane. Switching is with GE trolley locomotives. The story is told in film and slides.
