The McCloud offers it all. Located in Northern California in the shadow of Mt. Shasta, the McCloud Railway’s busy freight operation carries lumber in this heavily forested area. But there’s more. A steam excursion, running year round, makes this a popular tourist railroad as well. Nothing is quite like seeing, or riding aboard, the steam train in the deep winter snow. But then again, the summer dinner train does offer its own advantages.

Originally released in 1998, This once Northern California route features not only steam engine 25 in action, but also some diesels as well, Nowadays, it has been historic since the McCloud railroad went bankrupt in 2008. Today the Baldwin built 2-6-2 has been moved to the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad.
Overall, NKP 765 Engineer Richard P. Melvin did a splendid job narrating this program.
