About RailfanDepot, your source for train video & entertainment
We began selling railfan related media in 1999 and put up our first website in 2004. Since that time RailfanDepot has grown to serve tens of thousands of customers, from almost 40 countries and entertain millions through our social media channels. But, we’re still – just as we began – railfans, just like you. We like all things railroad. We like railfanning, watching trains, reading about trains, books and maps about trains… anything railroad. Learn more about our team below.

We ship from Indianapolis, but our team is spread all over. Our Shipping FAQ may be of interest to you. Need to Contact Us?

“As a child my family took the train often, and I loved it. I remember crying once when a twelve-hour train ride was over.”

Nicki | Web Projects

“From my childhood bedroom window I could see Conrail’s Zionsville Secondary. I’d run to find my Dad and tell him the number of the locomotive leading every train that went by my window.”

DeAnn | YouTube
DeAnn is our YouTube star. She hosts most of our programs and helps pick out which railroad videos to present.
“Growing up in Michigan, I often saw the Grand Trunk’s blue and red. That early childhood exposure to trains made me a railfan. I also garden and then can my harvest.”

Ken | Editing & Facebook
Ken edits most of our video content. You’ll also find Ken on RailfanDepot’s Facebook group, “Get Your Train On!”.
“A lifelong railfan, I grew up on the New Haven’s Lowell Branch and now watch CSX on the NYC’s ‘Water Level Route’. Some may know me as the founder of Broken Knuckle Video. I sold to Pentrex, but my gig with RailfanDepot allows me to use the editing skills I honed with BKVP.”

Tim | Head Conductor
Tim is the founder of RailfanDepot. He’s in charge, so blame him when things go wrong. He’s Chief Content Officer for our blogs, social media, and video outlets.
“Clear in my memory is being in front of the television every day for Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. The show’s opening on a model neighborhood, ‘Trolley’, and ‘Picture-Picture’ were favorites. Since then trains, models, and industrial archeology have been big interests for me.”
