Union Pacific, Tracks of old MoPac, Volume 1
We’ll travel across the tracks of the Missouri Pacific with Green Frog’s professional railroad photographer Rich Scheid. We’ll start at Kansas City Union Station and head east through Lee’s Summit, Pleasant Hill, Warrensburg, Sedalia, Tipton, and California. Then we follow the beautiful Missouri River Valley through Gasconade, Hermann, New Haven, and Washington. Next we’ll travel through the tunnels and rock cuts near Pacific, Eureka, and then to Kirkwood in the western suburbs of St. Louis. Lots of passenger trains as well as freight trains across Missouri!

Union Pacific, Tracks of old MoPac, Volume 2
We’ll continue in the St. Louis Missouri area and across the Mississippi River in the East St. Louis area with Green Frog’s professional railroad photographer Rich Scheid. We’ll visit places like Kirkwood, St. Louis Union Station, the Downtown area of St. Louis, as well as some locations on the BNSF such as Webster Grove, Old Orchard, and Downtown St. Louis. On the east side of the Mississippi we’ll visit locations like Lenox Tower in Griffith Illinois, and visit locations of other railroads like the Illinois Central in Belleville IL., Swansea, and Norfolk Southern in Belleville. Lots of passenger trains as well as freight trains!

Missouri Hot Spots-Kirkwood Hill
Join us for a tour of one of Missouri’s most popular railfan hot spots, Kirkwood Hill. This former double-tracked Missouri Pacific line is now owned by the Union Pacific. The hill is an operational nightmare with its formidable grade that crests near the Kirkwood Depot and the numerous “S” curves leading to the top of the hill. Neff Video spent two days not only in Kirkwood but also in the area west of town including action at Grays Summit, Eureka, and Pacific, Missouri. Burlington Northern/Santa Fe runbys are included as well as their track, the former Frisco, parallels the UP tracks in the Eureka/Pacific area. Freight action and Amtrak runbys are included. St Louis Sojourn
Filmed on crisp 16mm by Emery Gulash – An Historic venture to visit the St. Louis Union Station, and other locations in and around St. Louis, for a weekend of train chasing. To compliment the occasion, rail transport from Detroit to St. Louis was via Norfolk and Western’s night train, the ‘St. Louis Limited’. Convenient night travel allowed for two enjoyable days of railfan delights in the Gateway City. During this time turmoil was entering the passenger train services with the advent of the loss of U.S. Postal contracts and the potential of a reorganized quasi-national passenger train service. Regardless of the future, it was still a good time to sense the pulse of passenger traffic and the St. Louis Sojourn was the ‘call’ in the spring of ’68!

Tracks of the Old SF Vol. 8 (Kansas & Missouri)
Visit locations such as Ellinor KS, and New Mexico’s Abo Canyon. Then Emporia Kansas, and the many towns along the Tracks of the old Santa Fe. We will head thru Kansas to Kansas City. We visit Kansas City Union Station and watch trains coming thru and past the old Depot as well as a visit inside the old Depot. We then venture east across the Missouri River and the great steel truss bridge crossing the Missouri River at Sibley, KS., we continue through towns across Missouri to just west of Fort Madison Iowa. See Santa Fe Warbonnets as well as fallen flags, and a huge assortment of power coming through the many towns along the way to Iowa. Lots of close up action in this nonstop railroad video!

Steel Rails – Private Varnish, Volume 1
They came from all over the country, some of the grandest vehicles to roll over dry land. Private railway cars, once the exclusive domain of the rich and famous, came together in October, 1994. They gathered at Chicago to be made up into a colorful train of private varnish to run to St. Louis’s grand restored Union Station. Once they were in the Gateway City, nearly two dozen of the cars, together for the convention of the American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners, Inc., were opened to the public. At the end of the festivities, another special train returned the cars to the Windy City via the Burlington Northern’s spectacular line alongside the Mississippi River. The best of the fall foliage season heightened the magnitude of this special train of many colors. As the official videographer at the convention, Green Frog was there. In the air. On the ground.
